The popular Challenge Walk – in its 25th year – attracts people of all ages.

There is still time to register for the popular Campbelltown City Challenge Walk, which returns to the picturesque surrounds of the Australian Botanic Garden, Mount Annan, on Sunday, March 13.

This year marks the 25th annual Challenge Walk, which promotes health and fitness for people of all ages and abilities.

Residents are encouraged to be part of the milestone event – and register online here before midnight on Wednesday, March 9. The entry fee is just $10.

Participants can choose from either a six kilometre Fun Walk or 11 kilometre Endurance Walk around the scenic grounds of the gardens.

With 12 different age divisions, four team categories and a special wheelchair event, the Challenge Walk is sure to be fun for everyone.

Lots of prizes will be given away, with trophies for line honour winners and awards for age category winners, and all finishers eligible to share in a range of barrel draw prizes on the day.

Mayor of Campbelltown, Cr Paul Hawker, is encouraging residents to join in and register for a great community event.

“This annual event has contributed to making Campbelltown a healthier community, with more and more people getting involved every year, and discovering the benefits of an active lifestyle.

“There’s still time to register online, so rally your family and friends and take up the challenge.

“Whether you choose to participate for fun or for fitness, you’ll gain all the health benefits of walking, plus the chance to enjoy a spectacular autumn day on the grounds of the Australian Botanic Garden,” Cr Hawker said.

Free parking is available at the venue, or take advantage of the free Busabout shuttle service, departing from Campbelltown railway station at 7am. Free child minding for children aged four to 12 years will also be available, but must be booked via the entry form.

Last minute entries will be accepted on the day until 7.30am, at a fee of $20.
