Walk your way to better health by registering to take part in this year’s Campbelltown City Challenge Walk, which returns to the Australian Botanic Garden, Mount Annan, on Sunday, March 8.
This year marks the 24th annual Challenge Walk, which promotes health and fitness for people of all ages and abilities.
Choose from either a 6km fun walk or 11km endurance walk around the scenic grounds of the gardens. With 12 different age categories, four team categories and a special wheelchair event, the Campbelltown City Challenge Walk is suitable for everyone, and all finishers are eligible to share in a range of great barrel draw prizes on the day.
Mayor of Campbelltown, Cr Paul Lake, said the Campbelltown City Challenge Walk was one of the city’s fastest growing events, with more people each year looking to adopt a healthy lifestyle with family and friends.
“The Challenge Walk is a fantastic community initiative, which promotes the benefits of walking as a safe, inexpensive and convenient form of exercise,” Cr Lake said.
“Register as a team or gather up your family and friends to take part. Whether you choose to step out for a healthier 2015 or put your fitness goals to the test, the Challenge Walk promotes a more active lifestyle for everyone.”
Enter online by Thursday, March 5 for the cost of $10. The entry fee on the day of the event will be $19, with late entries only accepted up until 7.30am.
