Youth Solutions and Campbelltown Catholic Club last week celebrated a decade long partnership by launching their 2018-2019 campaign, What about tomorrow? Celebrate Safe.

The What about tomorrow? Celebrate Safe campaign targets young adults aged 18 to 25 years and encourages them to take positive steps to keep themselves and their mates safe around alcohol.

CEO of Youth Solutions, Geraldine Dean told guests she was grateful for the support that Campbelltown Catholic Club has provided over the past 10 years.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with the Campbelltown Catholic Club again this year to roll out the What about tomorrow? Celebrate Safe campaign,” Mrs Dean said.

“The campaign will run over November 2018 to February 2019, a time when young people and the broader community will be celebrating Christmas and the new year.

“We hope that by engaging with young people in the community and promoting safe celebrating we can encourage young people to look after themselves and their peers, and to prevent alcohol related harm”.

Mr Michael Lavorato, the ceo of Campbelltown Catholic Club, said the partnership with Youth Solutions has been very important to the club over the last decade and he was looking forward to being part of more campaigns in the future.

“What about tomorrow? is another great campaign that we are proud to be involved in,’’ Mr Lavorato said.

Youth Solutions research and design coordinator Emily Deans said the campaign encourages young people to plan ahead, to know their limits and to look after their friends.

“We have been consulting our Youth Advisory Group a lot over the past few months and it’s been great to see the campaign develop with their guidance and input,” she said.

In line with the campaign, Campbelltown Catholic Club will provide free soft drink to all sober designated drivers on Friday and Saturday nights in December and January.
