Every golfer – good or bad – dreams of a hole in one, but there is something even better and it will be on offer at the first ever Picton chamber of commerce golf day this Friday, February 25.

A golfer who lands a hole in one at the Antill Park country golf course will also drive away with a brand new car.

He or she will have the choice between a Mitsubishi Outlander or a Hyundi Tuscon from Paul Wakeling Motor Group as their prize for this rarest of achievements on a golf course

The car for a hole in one is part of prizes of more than $53,000 up for grabs at the inaugural Picton chamber golf day.

Despite being postponed twice due to pandemic restrictions and rain, the golf committe of Ren Moolhuyzen and Geoff O’Brien say there’s been incredible community support for the event.

Sharing the day will be federal member for Hume Angus Taylor, Wollondilly state member Nathaniel Smith, Wollondilly Mayor Matt Gould, council CEO Ben Taylor and a host of local business people from across the Macarthur region.

“Both Ren and I have been stoked to have received such positive support from businesses and look forward to making this event the cornerstone to chamber’s event calendar each year,’’ said Geoff O’Brien.

“The chamber would especially like to thank the gold sponsors Bradcorp, Bendigo Bank and BP Picton, who have backed the event from day one.

“Silver sponsors Caldwell Martin and Cox, Natural Landscapes, Pinnacle Tax Services, Property Wiyze, Transport Heritage NSW, Wollondilly Shire Council, That Office Place, Tony Wolf Printing, Govenor’s Hill and Bingara Gorge Metro have provided strong support which will make a big difference in growing local business and improving community in Picton.

“The committee is grateful for the enthusiastic partnering from South West Sydney Academy of Sport supporting players with golf tips on the day and Picton Rotary for cooking breakfast and teaming up again with the chamber,’’ Mr O’Brien said.
