Car driver, 19, charged after crash with motorbike at Picton

A 19 year old man has been charged after two people were seriously injured in a crash at Picton yesterday.

The collision between a Ford Falcon XR6 and a Harley Davidson motorcycle took place around 12.45pm on the intersection of Picton Road and Wilton Park Road.

Witnesses allegedly told police the sedan was being driven west along Picton Road when it turned right into Wilton Park Road, in front of the motorcycle.

The rider, a 56-year-old man, and pillion, a 47-year-old woman, suffered multiple injuries after being thrown from the bike.

They were treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics before being taken to Liverpool Hospital in a serious condition.

The driver, a 19-year-old man, was taken to Campbelltown Hospital for mandatory testing before being arrested and taken to Narellan Police Station.

He has been charged with two counts of dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm, negligent driving occasioning grievous bodily harm, and not display P-plates.

He has been refused bail to appear at Picton Local Court today.

In a separate incident, a Campbelltown man has been charged following further investigations into a domestic-related stabbing on Friday.

Emergency services were called to a unit on Minto Road, Minto, following reports a man had suffered a stab wound.

Upon arrival, officers located a 23-year-old man suffering a stab wound to the chest. He was treated at the scene before being taken to Liverpool Hospital.

Officers from Campbelltown City Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

A 23-year-old woman was arrested at the scene and charged. She remains before the courts.

About 5pm yesterday, the man was released from hospital and taken to Campbelltown Police Station.

He was charged with contravening an AVO and destruction of property.
