A fourth person has been arrested after a 19-year-old Campbelltown woman was thrown from Windsor Bridge into the Hawkesbury River on the weekend.

The victim called police after managing to swim to the riverbank.

She told officers she’d been thrown from the bridge into the river by a group of people who had held her against her will since Saturday night.

The woman was taken to hospital for treatment.

The first person arrested once police launched an investigation was another 19-year-old woman, who presented herself to police on Tuesday.

Just after 2pm on Wednesday, a 17-year-old teenage girl attended Windsor Police Station where she was arrested.

They were both charged with attempted murder, aggravated kidnapping, wounding a person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, and robbery with wounding.

At 8.45pm on Wednesday, a 22-year-old man attended Windsor Police Station where he was arrested.

He was charged with attempted murder, detain for advantage in company, aggravated robbery and wounding a person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

They all remain before the courts.

About 9am today, officers arrested a 16-year-old teenage boy at a home in Wallacia and he was taken to Windsor Police Station.

Police, who will allege the injured woman was transported from Campbelltown to Windsor in the boot of a car, say no further arrests expected.
