From next Wednesday, January 28, Campbelltown Hospital’s Emergency Department waiting room, triage desk and reception area will temporarily move from its current location to a temporary location down the corridor.
People requiring emergency care should still present to the existing Emergency Department entrance and follow the signs.
The Emergency Department is being upgraded as part of the Hospital’s $134 million Stage 1 Redevelopment.
This will enable the original triage and waiting room areas to be expanded, which will improve patient flow through the Emergency Department.
The refurbishment will also increase the number of beds in the Emergency Department including a new short stay unit.
The refurbishment is expected to be completed in June 2015.
Acting Campbelltown Hospital General Manager Chris Leahy has thanked the community, patients and staff for their understanding and support during the redevelopment works.
