Camden medical centre arrest: man faces 14 counts of assault

Police have charged a man with 14 counts of sexual and indecent assault which allegedly occurred at a medical centre in Camden.

Officers from Camden Local Area Command commenced an investigation into an employee of the medical centre located in Broughton Street, Camden following a number of complaints from female patients.

Yesterday detectives went to the medical centre where they arrested a 60-year-old man.

He was taken to Narellan Police Station where he was charged with 14 separate offences, including eight counts of sexual assault and six counts of indecent assault.

He was refused bail and will appear before Campbelltown Local Court today (Wednesday 8 March 2017).

In a separate incident, a man has been charged over a stabbing in Claymore.

Police arrested the 49-year-old man just after 4pm yesterday.

He was taken to Macquarie Field Police Station where he was charged with stalking and intimidation and wounding a person with the intention to cause grievous bodily harm

The man was refused bail and will appear before Campbelltown Local Court later today.

Emergency services were called to a home on Norman Crescent, Claymore about 3.45pm yesterday following a number of reports that a man had been stabbed.

When officers arrived they located a 26-year-old man, who was suffering stab wounds to his abdomen.

The man was treated by NSW Ambulance Paramedics and taken to Liverpool Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

Officers from Macquarie Fields Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene which was examined by forensic officers.
