The Camden Cats Under 19 Division 1 side has recorded an upset victory on Saturday with an impressive 13 point win against the North Shore Bombers.

Playing on the synthetic grass surface at Gore Hill for the first time the Cats took a little while to acclimatise to the different playing conditions.

Both sides looked to wrestle control of the game in the opening half with scoring opportunities at a premium with a strong breeze playing a role there.

The Cats were able to match it with their more fancied opposition, trailing by 1 point at half time.

After the long break the Cats electrified their travelling band of supporters with one of their best quarters of the year.

The Cats forward line was firing on all cylinders with Lachie McNamara, Tyler Irwin and Keegan Passlow the main destroyers as the Cats took a 25-point lead into the last quarter.

The Bombers mounted a strong challenge to the Cats in the last quarter; but the Camden boys held their nerve to take out the victory by 13 points.
