Camden’s recovery from the most recent devastating flood continues.

Affected residents and business owners are reminded that they can still receive assistance at Camden Council’s flood recovery assistance point at Narellan child, family and community centre, pictured.

Council will also continue its information service hub at Narellan for another week along with other government authorities, including Resilience NSW, Services Australia, Service NSW, Legal Aid and many more.

The info service hub will operate from Monday, July 18 to Friday, July 22, between 10am and 4pm.

The assistance point will also be open on Thursday evening from 6pm to 8pm.

Mayor of Camden, Cr Therese Fedeli encouraged businesses and residents needing assistance to visit the facility.

“This is a tough time for many local businesses and residents as we continue in the recovery phase and it is important for the community to know that Camden Council is here to help,” Cr Fedeli said.

“It was devastating to see our beautiful Camden inundated with floods for a fourth time this year, however we are a resilient community and I know we can get through this together.

“I urge anyone who needs assistance to visit the information stall at Narellan child, family and community centre or contact council.”

In related news, Camden Council also raised $11,900 at its recent Boots n’ Beats – Camden country music festival.

This money was donated to Big Yellow Umbrella, Turning Point Camden and Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard to go towards further flood relief efforts.

Narellan child, family and community centre is located at 20 Queen Street, Narellan.
