Camden Council will tomorrow night vote on a proposed sponsorship package for Macarthur FC Bulls worth more than $23,000 a year.

The proposed sponsorship package includes a cash contribution to the club of $20,000 and an in-kind component valued at $3,500 for the use of council facilities.

Through this partnership, council will be recognised as a sponsor of Macarthur FC and gain access to a program of engagement that will benefit the Camden community and promote the greater Macarthur region to an international audience through the A-League, according to a report to council on the proposed sponsorship.

The sponsorship package is for one year only and it is recommended that this be reviewed on an annual basis with Macarthur FC.

If the sponsorship is approved it will mean Macarthur FC will work with council to provide four school holiday clinics for local juniors as part of the package.

Macarthur FC will also provide four players to help promote council programs and community messaging. As part of the sponsorship package, council will provide Macarthur FC messaging to new residents, promoting the club and opportunities to participate in games and community events.

Council will also provide up to 20 hours of field and associated amenities usage for training purposes for Macarthur FC and another 20 hours of usage at a Camden community facility for programs run by the club.

Macarthur FC will enter the A-League, Australia’s top tier of football competition, around December this year.

The Covid-19 pandemic has forced the delay of the 2020-21 premiership.
