The Camden Cats have secured the division 3 men’s minor premiership with a comfortable 52 point win against Macquarie University.

Overcoming a sluggish start in the blustery conditions last Saturday at University Oval, the Cats found their mojo in the second quarter to kick their way to a 20 point lead at the main break, with Bailey Kennedy and Beau Snellman unstoppable in the midfield.

The second half was a dominant display from the visitors as the Camden defensive stood resolute, only allowing a measly 4 points to be scored by the Warriors as the Cats pilled on another 5 goals to double their half time score.

Up forward, competition leading goal kicker Joel Upfill added another 2 goals to his season tally and was well supported by Jihad Ykmour and Jarrod Campbell, who kicked 3 goals and 2 goals respectively.

A great win for the Cats who continue through to the first semi-final on Sunday, September 1 where they will face the winner of North Shore and Southern Power for a place in the grand final.

Winners are grinners: the mighty Camden Cats are all smiles after wrapping up the division three minor premiership on the weekend.
