More than 300 additional bus services will be added to key routes around the outer South Western Sydney region from August 23.

They will be funded through the NSW Government’s Growth Services Program, which is an initiative to deliver bus services when and where they are needed.

The two sitting Liberal MPs, State Member for Camden Peter Sidgreaves and the  State Member for Holsworthy Melanie Gibbons, have welcomed the announcement of the new weekly services across our local area.

Around 190 new weekly services will be created on route 841 from Narellan to Leppington.

“This comprises of additional off peak and weekend services, with a bus every 30 minutes during these times,’’ Mr Sidgreaves said.

“The route will also be altered in Emerald Hills to operate along Emerald Hills Boulevard, providing a more direct service and supporting residential growth in the area,’’ he said.

More than 120 additional weekly services will be added to route 869 from Ingleburn to Liverpool via Edmondson Park.

“These extra services will operate early in the morning and in the evenings on weekdays, as well as on weekends,’’ says Ms Gibbons.

“Customers will see a bus every 30 minutes for longer, with the service operating until 11pm, 7 days a week,” she said.

As part of the boost a new N31 Nightride service will be introduced, which will run between Liverpool and Leppington, seven days a week, with stops at Liverpool, Casula, Edmondson Park and Leppington.

From today August 10, customers will be able to view the new services and plan their journey online at www.transportnsw.info.
