If Macarthur FC can bring home the bacon from tomorrow’s away trip to Brisbane, it will make the following round’s blockbuster against the Wanderers even bigger.
In fact the Wanderers game will mark another 2023-24 season milestone for the Bulls: their 50th game at Campbelltown Stadium.
But first things first, and head coach Mile Sterjovski’s focus will be on the three points up for grabs tomorrow afternoon in Queensland.
The Bulls have been good on the road, especially in the past five games, winning two and drawing three.
They are also undefeated in their last five A-League matches against Brisbane Roar.
However, Brisbane are undefeated in their last four A-League Men matches at home.
So much for statistics.
On a more positive note, defender Matthew Jurman has extended his contract with the Bulls until the conclusion of the 2024/25 season.
Jurman, pictured above out and about meeting the locals, has become a key member of the Bulls’ backline, having played 12 games in the 2023/24 A-League season so far and helping to further bolster the backline alongside the likes of Bulls “veterans’’ Tomislav Uskok and Ivan Vujica.
During his time at the Bulls, Jurman marked his 100th A-League appearance.
Jurman said he was delighted to extend his tenure with the Bulls for another season.
“I’m really excited to extend my time with the Bulls,’’ he said.
“I believe we have a good bunch of boys and we’re building something special at the club.
“I’m enjoying playing my football at the moment and I’m happy that I can play in front of a fan base that continues to grow.’’
