Community infrastructure: MP Greg Warren with grant recipients of 2015 building grants.

Applications have opened for the Community Building Partnership program in 2016.

The program is run via local MPs across NSW.

State Member for Campbelltown Greg Warren says the program offers grant funding for infrastructure based projects that meet a need in the local community.

Applications for funding opened on June 13; they will close at 5pm on Friday, July 22.

“Incorporated not-for-profit community organisations and local councils are encouraged to apply for funding to build and improve facilities in the local community,’’ the MP said.

“This program supports the building, refurbishment or enhancement of infrastructure facilities that deliver positive social, recreational and environmental outcomes for the community.

“Last year I gave an undertaking that every dollar of the available $300,000 would be invested back into our city, and it was.

“I make that commitment again this year,’’ Mr Warren said.

Applications can be made via the Community Building Partnership website here.

The website also provides potential applicants with additional information regarding the program and the types of projects eligible to receive funding.
