Grab your skateboard and helmet and head out to one of Campbelltown City Council’s three skate parks to brush up on skills, learn new tricks and meet new friends at a free skate workshop.
Council, in partnership with Totem Skate School, hosts monthly workshops at Macquarie Fields, Campbelltown and St Helens Park skate parks.
The workshops give skate enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels the opportunity to learn from skateboarding professionals, with loads of giveaways up for grabs to encourage participants to show off their new skills, or inspire others with their awesome tricks!
Mayor of Campbelltown, Cr George Brticevic, said the workshops were a great way to enjoy the warm weather, get active and meet people with similar interests.
“Totem’s workshops are fun and interactive, and have been a great success with participants – from those learning the basics including safety and skateboarding etiquette, to the more experienced skateboarders who want to take their skills that one step further,” he said.
Helmets and boards are supplied. While all ages are welcome to attend, parental permission is required for young people under 18 and registration forms are required to participate. Supervision is required for younger children.
