Work on the Bringelly Road upgrade between Leppington and Rossmore is driving towards the finish line with traffic to be moved onto the final road alignment in the next few days.
Work on the upgrade between Camden Valley Way and King Street is moving into the final stage of work which will permanently change the way motorists access Leppington, Rossmore and Bringelly.
Construction crews will continue to carry out work until Friday, November 30 between 7pm and 5am to complete this stage of the project.
Work will also be carried out to complete the new traffic lights at King Street, Eastwood Road, Dickson Road, Rickard Road, Cowpasture Road and Skyline Crescent intersections as well as work at the intersection of Bringelly Road, Camden Valley Way and Cowpasture Road.
The work will include asphalting, line marking, installing signs and completing crossings across Bonds Creek, Scalabrini Creek and Kemps Creek.
Once complete, the new 5.7 kilometre stretch of Bringelly Road will increase capacity for expected future traffic growth and improve travel times for all road users.
Detours will be in place while work is carried out at night so road users are encouraged to plan ahead and follow the direction of all signs.
Electronic message signs will be in place to advise road users of changes and access to properties will be maintained while work is carried out.
The $509 million upgrade of Bringelly Road between Camden Valley Way at Leppington and The Northern Road is part of the $3.6 billion Western Sydney Infrastructure Plan.

“More than 13 kilometres of new stormwater systems have been installed and more than 125,000 square metres of asphalt laid since the project started.
“This upgrade is just another example of the Australian and NSW governments delivering new and improved infrastructure for the future generations of Western Sydney.”
