A seven year old boy has been taken to Campbelltown Hospital after being hit by a car in East Campbelltown this afternoon.
Police say that at about 3.05pm the boy was hit by a red Mitsubishi Mirage hatchback while crossing Valley Road, which is near Waminda Avenue.
The female driver stopped briefly before leaving the scene without rendering assistance, police said.
The boy was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics before being taken to Campbelltown Hospital with non life threatening injuries.
Officers from Campbelltown Local Area Command attended and commenced an investigation.
Police would like to speak to the driver who may be able to assist with their inquiries.
She is described as being of Caucasian appearance with an olive complexion and long brown hair.
