Be part of the magical effort to support our youth

The theme may be The Land of Make Believe, but Youth Solutions’ 2019 annual charity event will play a very real role in helping to make a difference in the lives of young people.

The Macarthur and Wingecarribee youth drug and alcohol prevention and health promotion charity is bringing a touch of magic to The Cube, Campbelltown Catholic Club when it hosts its major annual fundraiser on Saturday, July 27.

Youth Solutions chief executive officer Geraldine Dean said the charity was blown away by the early support the event had received and encouraged the community to get behind the fun and fundraising.

“The annual charity event is our major annual fundraiser, helping our charity to raise the funds needed to support the vital programs and services we provide for young people in our community,” Mrs Dean said

“This year we are inviting people to pull on some fairy wings, don a pirate hat or let their imagination run wild as they join us in The Land of Make Believe.

“We are inviting people to be part of the magic, and for Youth Solutions, that means contributing to supporting some of the most vulnerable people in our community.

Fun for a good cause: members of the Youth Solutions fundraising committee promoting the event and its theme: The Land of Make Believe.

“It truly takes a community to keep our young people healthy, safe and connected and on that note we must particularly thank our wonderful sponsors for their support, including our diamond sponsor Rotary Club of Narellan, our ruby sponsors AGL and Macarthur Square, as well as all of our wonderful quartz sponsors.

“A very special thank you must also go to our Youth Solutions fundraising committee, which works so hard to organise this event.”

The 2019 event will be hosted by C91.3FM’s Josh Webster, with plenty of opportunity to hit the dance floor, as well as to enjoy some quality entertainment, fundraising activities and prizes, including awards for best dressed.

While locking in the final numbers for the event, Mrs Dean said the charity was also hoping to secure some major prize donations in support of the event and thanked the businesses and individuals who have already pledged donations in support of the event.

“If you can’t make it along to the event, there are still other ways you can get involved and show your support for our community’s young people. From donating a prize for the event, making a financial donation to Youth Solutions, or simply sharing our charity’s important work with your friends and contacts, you too can help us to make a difference.”
