Attempted armed robbery at caravan near Camden

Local police are appealing for public assistance as part of an ongoing investigation into an armed robbery near the centre of Camden town.

Investigators have been told that the incident took place about 3.25am on Sunday, August 7.

A resident who was at the time inside a caravan at the back of a home on Alpha Road, Camden was approached by two men.

Police say the pair were unknown to the man in the caravan.

The man was threatened with a knife, before the two men fled the scene on foot empty handed.

The man was not physically injured.

Police were notified and detectives from Camden Police Area Command commenced an investigation into the incident.

The two men are described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged between 18 and 19, and of medium build.

One of the men had acne scarring on his face, and the other man was wearing a black ski mask at the time of the incident.
