The annual Easter egg hunt and workshop in the Campbelltown arts centre is popular with children aged between six and 12. It’s on again this Saturday.

The popular annual Easter egg hunt and workshop at the Campbelltown Arts Centre is back on again this Saturday, March 24.

Organised by The Friends of Campbelltown Arts Centre Inc and running for almost 10 years, this is a very popular Easter activity with up to 100 young children, aged between six and 12, attending every year.

The cost is just $10 for each child.

It all starts with a workshop in the art gallery’s performance studio where the children will be shown how to make Easter baskets and decorate eggs.

They will also get to make Easter cards and colour in various images relating to Easter.

After the workshop the children will go into the sculpture garden to hunt for the chocolate eggs.

And after all that excitement there is more to come with free face painting, free drinks and ice blocks for the children – pretty good value for just $10 in this day and age.

A spokesperson for The Friends of Campbelltown Arts Centre Inc said they ask that the parents of the younger children stay with them, but the older ones can be on their own.

“We have found over the years that some parents participate in the workshop with the children,’’ the spokesperson said.

This year the event will start from 1pm and if you’d like your children to take part please ring the arts centre on 4645 4100 to book your places.
