Antoinette Stonham and her Campbelltown business, All About Style, is up for a national award.
Ms Stonham has been selected as a finalist for the 2017 AusMumpreneur awards in the service business category.
“Being selected as a finalist means so much to me because I believe without confidence you can’t reach your true potential,’’ Ms Stonham said.
“My desire is make a difference by helping people improve their appearance and confidence within themselves.
“I feel that everyone deserves to feel confident to achieve success in every area of their lives whatever fashion budget they have,” Ms Stonham said.
The AusMumpreneur Awards celebrate and recognize Australian mums in business achieving outstanding success in areas such as business excellence, product development, customer service and digital innovation.
The awards are designed to recognize the growing number of women who successfully balance motherhood and business in a way that suits their life and family.
Winners will be announced at a presentation on Friday, August 25.
A mother and a grandmother, Antoinette Stonham launched All About Style in 2013 in Campbelltown.
She had just turned 50 and decided it was time to do something she was truly passionate about.
Ms Stonham undertook a personal styling course and teamed it up with her skills of pattern making, design and experience running a business.
All About Style was on its way and Ms Stonham was on a mission to help people feel confident within themselves regardless of age, body type or budget.
Business is not always easy and Ms Stonham has overcome challenges but has also seen great success. Recently Antoinette was invited to join the Gifted Life Australian tour.
The Gifted Life charity was founded by lung recipient Lauren Rowe, travelling to share Empowerment Days to groups of organ transplant recipients around Australia.
It can be challenging to be a successful business woman whilst raising a family and Antoinette gives this advice for others thinking about starting their own enterprise:
“Pursue something you are truly passionate about. Have a plan but be prepared that the path will change. Perseverance and dedication will pay off.”
