
Two teenage boys aged 15 and 16 have faced court following an alleged vehicle theft and pursuit on Friday morning.
The older boy face charges of robbery in company, drive conveyance taken without consent of owner, drive recklessly/furiously or speed/manner dangerous, unlicensed for Class, Class C, R, LR,or MR, and three counts of not give particulars to other driver.
The younger boy was charged with robbery in company and be carried in conveyance taken without consent of owner.
Police allege that the vehicle involved in the pursuit was stolen from Elizabeth Hills earlier that day.
Officers from Liverpool Police Area Command were patrolling on Humphries Road, Bonnyrigg, when they saw a green BMW SUV being driven dangerously.
When it failed to stop as directed, a pursuit was initiated, with the assistance of PolAir.
The pursuit continued through multiple suburbs including Mount Annan, and through the Camden Bypass, before it turned onto the north end of the Bypass.
About 9.30am, the vehicle allegedly failed to stop after colliding with an SUV on Campbelltown Road, Campbelltown.
A short time later, the vehicle came to stop at a carpark near Lithgow Street, Campbelltown, where two occupants abandoned the car and left the scene on foot.
Two boys were arrested nearby, taken to Campbelltown Police Station and charged.
They were both refused bail to appear at Children’s Court the following day (Saturday, May 23).

Sex Crimes Squad detectives have charged a teacher with alleged child grooming offences and possessing child abuse material .
The detectives are part of Strike Force Trawler, an ongoing investigation by State Crime Command’s Sex Crimes Squad Child Exploitation Internet Unit (CEIU) into the sexual abuse and exploitation of children facilitated through the internet and related telecommunications devices.
Last Tuesday (May 19), strike force detectives received a report regarding the detection of child abuse material linked to an account holder in Sydney’s south west.
About 6am on Thursday (May 21) detectives executed a search warrant at a home in Bardia, seizing electronic devices allegedly containing child abuse material.
During those inquiries detectives allegedly uncovered online communication between the man and a teenage girl spanning from 2021 to 2025.
A 35-year-old man was arrested and taken to Campbelltown Police Station, where he was charged with three counts of possess child abuse material, two counts of use carriage service-procure sexual activity, three counts of cause child 14 and over to make child abuse material, use carriage service-engage in sexual activity with child and possess child abuse data-use carriage service.
He was refused bail to appear at Campbelltown Local Court last Friday.
