
Development applications received by Campbelltown City Council, are required to be determined by the appropriate authority in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979.
Determining authorities include but are not limited to the Campbelltown Local Planning Panel, the Sydney Western City Planning Panel, or the council’s chief executive officer under delegated authority.
The most recent report to council, at its December meeting, detailed development applications considered and approved by the Sydney Western City Planning Panel and the CEO.
The Sydney Western City Planning Panel approved a development application (DA) valued at $42.7 million for a 10 storey residential apartment tower at 7–11 Norfolk Street, Ingleburn, two blocks from the centre of the shopping strip along Oxford Road (above in a computer generated image).
The DA includes demolition of existing structures to make way for the high rise tower, which will offer 73 apartments, two 2 levels of basement carparking and associated amenities.
A $32.1 million development at Claymore also received the green light from the Sydney Western City Planning Panel.
The DA includes subdivision of land for 198 residential lots, public reserve, residue lot and road dedications and subdivisions works including construction of roads, roadworks, site regrading and retaining works, associated drainage, utility services and street landscaping
The DA was for stage six of the Claymore renewal project.
Significant DAs approved under delegation by the council CEO included a $17.5 million subdivision on Menangle Road, Menangle Park, to create six super lots for future development, road construction and associated works.
The CEO also approved a $10.8 million DA for a subdivision on Appin Road, Gilead, to create 54 Torrens title residential lots and one residue lot with associated civil works including bulk earthworks, construction of new roads, stormwater drainage, detention basins, installation of services and tree planting.
The final DA approval was for demolition of existing structures at 43-45 Surrey Street, Minto, to allow for construction of 11 two storey dwellings, driveway and associated landscaping. The DA was valued at $4.8 million.
