The Greater Narellan business chamber is set to hit the ground running in 2024.
It has gone straight to the top of the pile for its general meeting of the year, securing Allan Pease, the Aussie known world wide as Mr Body Language, as guest speaker on Wednesday, February 14 at Camden Valley Inn.
Pease, pictured, started his career at the age of 10 selling rubber sponges door to door. At 17, he was the number one national salesman for a company selling bed linen, pots and pans.
At 21, he was the youngest person ever to sell over $1 million worth of life insurance – in his first sales year.
He has been a keynote speaker at functions in 70 countries, and now he’s going to pass some of the secrets of his success to members of the Narellan chamber.
Chamber president Anne Parnham, pictured above, says a growing membership base extending beyond Narellan made for an exciting year in 2023.
And the new year looms as just as big, especially with a great line up of speakers in 2024, starting with Allan Pease.
“To look after all businesses in the greater Narellan area we are reaching out and welcoming the members who were previously with the Camden chamber of commerce,’’ says Ms Parnham.
“I am excited to have people located near the new Western Sydney Airport enquiring about joining our chamber.
“With a broader reach in our area, we will have a stronger voice to show our politicians at local, state and federal level that we are serious and want to be heard,’’ Ms Parnham said.
Getting involved with the South West Sydney Tourism Task Force, Business NSW, Western Sydney Regional Advisory Council and the Chamber Alliance of Western Sydney is also helping to lift Narellan’s profile as a strong chamber.
“We are getting further involved in our community – we are represented now at the Police forums and Council meetings with ongoing meetings with all our local politicians,’’ Ms Parnham said.
