Want to beat boredom during the coming school holidays?

And would you like to warm up to some creative ideas and family fun?

Well, you’d better get with the program – the Campbelltown City Council Winter School Holiday Program that is.

The program offers children of all ages a feast for the imagination, says council.

The next school holidays in NSW start on Monday, June 29 and end on Friday, July 10.

If you take advantage of what’s on offer, local children can get crafty, be active, learn new skills or simply have fun.

With so many low cost options and convenient locations to choose from, parents and carers will be left wondering where the holidays have gone.

Mayor of Campbelltown, Cr Paul Lake, said the program provided families with a host of exciting options to choose from that were interactive, educational and entertaining.

“Children can become art explorers at Campbelltown Arts Centre or experience what it’s like to take to the stage,’’ he said.

“Pop along to Eagle Vale Library to learn guitar basics, or explore a land of lost treasures at Glenquarie Library,” Cr Lake said.

“Register for one of our intensive learn to swim programs at our leisure centres or come along to the Bicycle Education Centre for a free open day.

“Be sure to check out all that is on offer, and book early to avoid disappointment,” Cr Lake added.

The Winter School Holiday Program can be downloaded at  http://www.campbelltown.nsw.gov.au/children, along with a list of ‘40 fun things for kids in Campbelltown’ for inspiration in finding new things to see and do over the school holiday break.
