A raft of themed workshops and community activities will be on offer in Campbelltown during this year’s NSW Seniors Festival.
From Wednesday 1 to Sunday 12 February, free and paid activities will be offered to residents aged 60 and over, or 50 and over for those living with disability or who identify as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander.
Festival highlights include free movie screenings, historical driving tours, library-run social activities, wellness and exercise classes, gardening workshops, meal deals and special exhibitions at Campbelltown Art Centre.
“We’re thrilled to offer such a diverse range of activities and events to our senior residents this year,” says Mayor George Greiss.
“There’s many services and programs for seniors held by council and other organisations throughout the year and Seniors Week is a great opportunity to highlight what’s available across the local area,” Cr Greiss said.
All event bookings and a full program of events can be found on Council’s website.

In Camden, local seniors are even set to strut down the catwalk, after council accepted funding to host a Seniors in Style Fashion Show.
The free fashion show will come to fruition after council was successful in receiving $3,500 grant funding through the NSW Government’s Seniors Festival Program.
The show will be professionally photographed, with the images captured to form part of a future art exhibition in the Camden area.
“Seniors are always looking for ways to stay connected and the 2023 Seniors Festival is already set to be the best yet,” says Camden Mayor Therese Fedeli.
“The Seniors in Style Fashion Show is about promoting positive attitudes and behaviours to ageing, celebrating respect, inclusion and social participation and celebrating ageing through fashion and modelling opportunities.
