Ultimate warrior Nofoaluma set to play 150th game

Wests Tigers Coach Michael Maguire has named an unchanged team for his side’s round 11 clash against the New Zealand Warriors this Friday.

After a strong 36-18 win over the Newcastle Knights at the NRL’s Magic Round, Maguire has retained the same squad for this week’s game as his side goes looking for two wins on the trot.

Moses Mbye, who is apparently talking to the Dragons about a movbe there next season, will again partner Luke Brooks in the halves.

Adam Doueihi has again been named the centres, after his first performance there help inspire the side to  a much needed victory.

Winger David Nofoaluma will play his 150th NRL game for Wests Tigers.

The Campbelltown junior, pictured above, will become just the 13th player in the joint venture’s history to reach the milestone.

“Nofa’’ may not be the official captain of the side but he has been the heart and soul of the Wests Tigers during some difficult years.

If one player deserves to play finals footy it’s this powerhouse winger.

Fans will also be pleased to see that Wests Tigers player number 244 Jock Madden retains his place on the bench alongside Shawn Blore, Alex Seyfarth and Thomas Mikaele.

Madden made a cameo appearance against the Knights but it was so brief nobody could draw any conclusions as to his first grade credentials.

Hopefully Maguire will give him a bit more game time this time around.

Michael Chee Kam, Jake Simpkin, Stefano Utoikamanu and Tom Amone round out the 21-man squad after being named as reserves.

Kick off on Friday night is 6pm.
