A man has been charged after police seized drugs and hundreds of prohibited weapons from a home in Lurnea.
Yesterday (July 22), police from Liverpool Local Area Command were called to a home on West Street for a domestic incident. Whilst at the premises, it is alleged officers sighted a large number of prohibited weapons.
Officers applied for and executed a search warrant at the home, where it’s alleged they seized methyl-amphetamine (ICE) and cannabis. They also allegedly located and seized a large amount of prohibited weapons, including:
– 116 metal knuckle dusters,
– 20 stun gun cartridges,
– 65 canisters of capsicum spray,
– 44 throwing knives,
– 96 key card knives,
– 4 extendable batons,
– 2 flick knives; and
– One set of metal handcuffs.
A 30-year-old man was arrested and taken to Liverpool Police Station, where he was charged with nine counts of possessing prohibited weapons and two counts of possessing a prohibited drug.
He was granted conditional bail to appear before Liverpool Local Court on August 19.
