Business, community groups rally for a good cause
Mary Brooksbank School for children with special needs will be the beneficiary of this year’s Mayor Charity Race Night on May 14 at Menangle.

Promoting your business or organisation while supporting a worthy cause is the way we roll in Macarthur.

Our region is unique in supporting good causes, especially our business people.

The latest opportunity to do exactly that is through a sponsorship package for the Mayor’s Charity Race Night, to be held at the Lawn Marquee at Tabcorp Park, Menangle in a little more than a week.

And worthy causes don’t get any more worthy than the beneficiary of this fundraiser, the special students who attend Mary Brooksbank School.

Located in Rosemeadow, Mary Brooksbank School educates students with special needs from kindergarten to year 12.

Money raised by the Mayor’s Charity Race Night will go towards a much needed refurbishment of the school library to make it a functional learning space for teachers, and a fun environment for students.

So join the Mayor of Campbelltown, Cr Paul Hawker, as well as other local businesses and organisations, to raise money for the students at Mary Brooksbank School on Saturday, May 14.

Indeed join Mary Bently from Macarthur Old Womens Network (OWN) who have already generously donated $500 towards this year’s Mayor’s Charity Race Night.

As well as an action packed night of harness racing and the chance to promote your business or organisation, the event also offers entertainment, raffles, auctions, lucky door prizes and a great dining experience.

A great night out, in other words.

Race sponsorship packages are available and include tickets to the event, advertising opportunities and money-can’t-buy experiences.

It is a fantastic way for organisations and individuals to promote themselves to the wider community, while supporting a very worthy cause.

Mayor of Campbelltown, Cr Paul Hawker, is encouraging local businesses and organisations to show their support as a sponsor or by donating to the evening.

“There are a range of sponsorship packages available, whether big or small, any contribution that local organisations can make will go a long way,” Cr Hawker said.

“I look forward to seeing everyone trackside, supporting a worthy cause and enjoying the state of the art facilities that Tabcorp Park, Menangle has to offer.
