Two men and a woman charged over Claymore assault, robbery

chargedTwo men and a woman have been arrested and charged over the assault and robbery of a man in Claymore.

A 22 year old woman has been charged with dishonestly obtaining property by deception. She was granted conditional bail yesterday to appear before Campbelltown Local Court on Monday, June 20.

A 28 year old man was charged with aggravated robbery inflicting actual bodily harm and dishonestly obtaining property by deception.

He was also charged with larceny in relation to a separate incident and was refused bail to appear before Campbelltown Local Court today.

The second man, aged 34, was charged with stealing regarding an unrelated matter and was granted conditional bail to appear before Campbelltown Local Court on Monday, May 9.

Police say that shortly after midnight on Tuesday night, a 31 year old man went to a home on Roberts Way, Claymore, where he met with a woman.

He was leaving the home in the morning when he was assaulted by two men, who took his wallet, car keys and tools from his car, which was parked outside the home.

Officers from Macquarie Fields Local Area Command were alerted and launched an investigation into the incident.

Inquiries revealed the man’s credit cards had been used to make a number of fraudulent transactions at multiple retail outlets during the day.

Following further investigations, police returned to the Roberts Way home yesterday afternoon, where the woman was arrested and taken to Macquarie Fields Police Station. The two men were also arrested nearby soon after and taken to Macquarie Fields Police Station.

Investigations into the matter are continuing.
