Discounted prices on National Park Passes are now on offer for motorists who renew their vehicle registration online.
Melanie Gibbons, State Member for Holsworthy, has welcomed the move.
“This one stop shop design means people can not only renew their vehicle registration, they can renew their love of nature through an easy purchase of the National Park Pass,” Ms Gibbons said.
“There are so many great National Parks close to the Liverpool and south west region, including the Royal National Park and Georges River National Park.
“This is a great opportunity for the public to access them, and keep accessing them.”
Environment Minister Mark Speakman said this more straight-forward approach would encourage more people to visit National Parks across the state.
“We have such great natural assets right across NSW. The NSW Government is doing its bit through discounted park entry fees to encourage everyone to visit our National Parks.
[social_quote duplicate=”no” align=”default”]“Customers who renew their vehicle registrations online through Service NSW will be entitled to $15 off the full price of their annual national park passes,” Mr Speakman said.[/social_quote]
An annual pass means customers only need to pay a one-off fee for vehicle access to either one or a collection of the 45 fee collecting national parks.
The discount applies to two of the most popular passes – All Parks and Multi-Parks Passes.
Minister for Finance, Services, and Property Dominic Perrottet highlighted that integration of a range of government services has helped facilitate discounted entry into National Parks.
“Service NSW has been a game changer by making it easier to interact with government, saving time and money – allowing more time to do fun things like exploring our great national parks,” Mr Perrottet said.
“Summer is the best time for anyone to visit a National Park and I would like to see more people from the Liverpool area take up this fantastic opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors in our state’s more than 850 national parks and reserves,” Ms Gibbons said.
