Freedom of Entry
March on: members of the Australian Air Force Cadets will take part in a Freedom of Entry parade into Camden this Sunday.

Australian Air Force Cadets will take part in a Freedom of Entry march through the heart of Camden this Sunday, December 6.

The members of the 303 Squadron who will take part in this traditional ceremony will gather from 11am at the Camden RSL Memorial Gardens at the Bicentennial Equestrian Park.

Police officers from the Camden Local Area Command will oversee the short march through the streets of Camden.

Once the parade is formed at the RSL Memorial Gardens it will be inspected by the Mayor of Camden, Cr Lara Symkowiak and the rest of the official party.

After the mayor addresses the parade, the Camden Council general manager will read the scroll proclaiming the Freedom of Entry, which will then be presented to the parade commander who will request permission to march forth.

The parade will march up the left side of Argyle Street to the roundabout at John Street, where they will be stopped by members of the NSW Police, requesting approval, and will need to prove their right and privilege to march.

Once approved, the march will move along John Street, then pass by Macaria, Camden Council’s administration building on John Street and will be saluted.

They will then turn left onto Mitchell Street, past the Camden War Memorial Pool and then conclude their march at Onslow Oval.
