It promises to be a cracker of a night at Campbelltown Sports Stadium when TV celebrities and talented local performers will bring the arena alive with seasonal songs and Christmas cheer at the annual Campbelltown City Christmas Carols.
So make sure you put the date in your diary: This year’s Carols will be on Saturday, December 5, between 6pm and 9.30pm.
Join hosts Lyndal and Josh, from C91.3FM’s Fresh Breakfast, as they sprinkle some festive fun over the night’s entertainment, presenting a line-up of local vocalists and choirs who, supported by a live band, will sing their way through a program of the most popular Christmas carols.
This year’s event will feature special guest Dr Katrina Warren and the sensational Wonderdogs, a team of highly trained border collies who will amaze, entertain and educate as they perform their incredible dog agility Christmas show.
Before the night comes to a close, there will be a special visit from the jolly man in the red suit and a spectacular fireworks display will finish the evening.
Mayor of Campbelltown, Cr Paul Hawker, said council was proud to present the annual Campbelltown City Christmas Carols event and thanked Campbelltown Chamber of Commerce for their sponsorship, which will see a spectacular fireworks display added to the popular event.
[social_quote duplicate=”no” align=”default”]“It’s a wonderful opportunity to celebrate community, family and the spirit of Christmas, and the new venue of Campbelltown Sports Stadium reflects the popularity of our annual event,” Cr Hawker said.[/social_quote]
“I look forward to seeing families from across the Macarthur region coming together to sing in the festive season, and maybe catch a glimpse of Santa.
“Bring a rug and picnic and enjoy an evening of festive fun and free family entertainment,” Cr Hawker said.
A drug and alcohol free event, Campbelltown City Christmas Carols is sponsored by Campbelltown Chamber of Commerce and supported by the Rotary Clubs of Campbelltown and Macarthur Sunrise.
Residents are reminded that fireworks can easily scare animals. If your pet tends to be frightened by loud noises, make sure you keep them restrained or inside the house on Saturday, December 5.
