Police have uncovered a hydroponic cannabis crop worth $13 million on a property in Bargo.

But investigations are continuing to find the identity of those behind the operation.

Officers from Camden Police Area Command investigating the cultivation of cannabis in outer South Western Sydney executed a search warrant at a property on Remembrance Drive on Monday afternoon.

A police guard was posted on the property overnight before officers returned to the scene yesterday, seizing 4,324 cannabis plants.

The plants ranged in size from seedlings to mature plants and were being cultivated in 16 large greenhouses and work-site offices.

Police also seized two shotguns.

There was no one at the property when police arrived and inquiries are continuing to identify those responsible.

Detectives have laid further charges against a teacher over the alleged sexual touching and indecent assault of four students.

He will appear in Campbelltown Local Court today.

In December last year, detectives from the State Crime Command’s Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad commenced an investigation into reports a 13-year-old girl had been sexually touched by a man known to her.

Following extensive inquiries, a 63-year-old man was arrested at a home in the Southern Highlands. He was charged and remains before the courts.

Following further inquiries, police received information relating to the alleged indecent assault of four 12-year-old girls, who were also known to the man.

As part of ongoing investigations, officers arrested a man – now aged 64 – at Moss Vale Police Station.

He was charged with intentionally sexually touching a child (between 10 and 16 years), three counts of indecent assault of a person under 16 years of age, and three counts of common assault.

The accused has been granted strict conditional bail to reappear at Campbelltown Local Court today.
