High flier guest speaker at combined chamber luncheon

Sarah Jane Clarke will be the guest speaker at a combined luncheon for members of Narellan and Campbelltown chambers this Friday at Tabcorp Menangle.

There are business activities galore across Macarthur this month but the highlight is this Friday’s combined luncheon of Greater Narellan Chamber of Commerce and Campbelltown Chamber of Commerce.

Sarah Jane Clarke, the high profile guest speaker for the combined luncheon, has been described as one of the most stylish and influential women in Australia.

Renowned for building the fashion brand Sass & Bide, Ms Clarke was also listed by BRW as one of Australia’s richest people aged under 40.

The combined luncheon is an 11.30am for a 12pm start at Tabcorp Park, Menangle (race day).

• The Small Business Grant is a key priority of the NSW and is designed to encourage nearly 650,000 small businesses across the state – yes, that’s how many there are – that do not pay payroll tax to hire new employees and expand their business.

The grant is a one off payment per new position and is paid when a claim is made on the 12 month anniversary of when the position was created.

For full-time employees the grant amount is $2,000.

• Melissa Woodward, Founder of Evolution Health Services, will be the guest speaker at the Linking Ladies Monthly Day Meeting Macarthur this Thursday, March 17.

• Employer obligations when engaging a new employee will be in the spotlight at a 45 minute NSW Industrial Relations webinar to be held later this month.
