Murder mysteries, creative writing workshops, Anime and Manga Appreciation Club and a street dance event in the newly installed Forum Q creative space are just some of the highlights of Campbelltown’s Youth Week program.
On during April 4 and 14, this year’s theme – It’s up to YOU – speaks to the importance of empowering our young people by sharing creative experiences and developing connections.
“This is an opportunity to celebrate the resilience and individuality of our young people and a way for them to feel empowered to explore their interests with this diverse program of events,” says Campbelltown mayor George Greiss.
People aged 12 to 25 years are invited to attend any of the workshops or events and also to tell council their big ideas for the future.
“Whether you’re into dance, art, music, food, gaming or cinema there’s something for you to attend,” Cr Greiss said.
“It’s important for us to have an ongoing dialogue with our young people, and so we want to hear from them their big ideas for change,” he said.
Youth, kids, families and creatives of all ages and abilities are invited to join Campbelltown Arts Centre and Campbelltown City Council in celebration of 2022 Youth Week and new CBD creative space, Forum Q.
People of all ages can be inspired by Greater Western Sydney’s thriving Street Culture, then enjoy back-to-back workshops and performances into the night featuring some of the region’s freshest talent.
This special event will be showcasing everything local Street Culture from street art to street dance to street food and more.
