It’s called a charity event because it is, but ask anyone who’s been to the annual Youth Solutions fundraiser and they will tell you it’s a hell of a lot of fun.
And it is true that the dance floor is always the place to be for this great night.
In 2023 – on Saturday, July 22 – it will have a country theme of denim and diamonds, so, well, yee-ha!
The event will kick off at 6.30pm and feature five hours of fun and fundraising, with guests treated to a delicious three course meal, beverage package and entertainment.
Youth Solutions chief executive officer Geraldine Dean agrees that the charity event is a highlight on the local social calendar and this year won’t be any different.
“We are very proud of this and what it achieves – we’ve organised an amazing night featuring quality entertainment and excellent food and the fundraising elements of the evening seamlessly slip in,” Mrs Dean said.
“We want people to come and enjoy themselves. We are also upfront in reminding everyone this is a fundraiser, and its success is crucial to the ongoing work of Youth Solutions in the community.
“So, I encourage you to join the Youth Solutions family for a night to remember. Grab some friends, buy some tickets and come along and see what the fuss is all about. You won’t be disappointed.”
Part of the fundraising aspect of the night is sponsorship from local organisations and business.
The Rotary Club of Narellan has thrown its support behind the 2023 Charity Event as the night’s major sponsor, continuing its decades long tradition of supporting Youth Solutions’ work with young people.
AGL is also on board as the ruby sponsor, and a number of other businesses and community organisations have locked in their table sponsorships for July 22.
Youth Solutions community relations and communications coordinator Amanda Dillon, who is heading up the event preparations, thanked those who have backed the event so far.
“We’re incredibly grateful to those who have already thrown their support behind this event and those who continue to do so, year after year,”Mrs Dillon said.
“A special thank you to our table sponsors, ruby sponsor AGL, and major event sponsor, the Rotary Club of Narellan, as well as our amazing fundraising committee volunteers who work hard to support the preparations for this event.
