
The countdown has begun to this year’s Festival of Fisher’s Ghost. The world famous festival, courtesy of its ghost theme, will return from October 30 and conclude on November .
The 2025 iteration will offer a refreshed program of council and community-led events to enjoy as part of a bid to ensure its long term sustainability.
Celebrations will begin on Thursday, October 30, with the opening night of the iconic Fisher’s Ghost Carnival at Campbelltown Showground, featuring thrilling amusement rides, sideshow games, food stalls and spectacular fireworks shows on two Saturday nights, November 1 and 8.
Fisher’s Twilight Streets will invite visitors to explore illuminated artwork installations, market stalls, roaming performers, stage entertainment and kids’ activities to enjoy at Queen Street in Campbelltown City Centre, on the weekend of November 1-2.
Music lovers attending Twilight Streets can cast their vote for their favourite local band as part of the Battle of the Bands at the centre stage, with the three top-voted bands performing finale acts on Saturday, November1.
Film buffs can enjoy Fisher’s Twilight Rooftop Cinema with two nights of film screenings under the stars, from 4pm to 10pm, at the Campbelltown RSL Rooftop Carpark.
“The Festival of Fisher’s Ghost is a celebration of history, tradition and community which turns our famous urban legend into an unforgettable celebration for families,” says Campbelltown Mayor Darcy Lound, pictured above with a friend.
“I’m thrilled to see our annual events program provide our community with a great chance to celebrate the Festival of Fisher’s Ghost in new and exciting ways,” Cr Lound said.
“I strongly encourage everyone to join us for another exciting year of our iconic festival,” he said.
The popular Marsdens Law Group Fisher’s Ghost Fun Run will return to Western Sydney University and TAFE campuses on Sunday, November 9 offering a 5km and 10km course.
Locals can visit Campbelltown Arts Centre throughout the Festival of Fisher’s Ghost, where selected Fisher’s Ghost Art Exhibition artworks will be exhibited.
Fisher’s Twilight Streets is funded by the NSW Government’s Open Streets Program, led by Transport for NSW.
