A man will appear in court charged with dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm after a woman was critically injured when she fell from a car in Airds yesterday.
The 40-year-old woman was taken to Liverpool Hospital with critical injuries.
The incident occurred around 3pm in Peppin Crescent, Airds.
Emergency services were called after reports a woman had been injured after she fell off the bonnet of a vehicle.
Officers attached to Campbelltown City Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The driver of the car, a 43-year-old man who is known to the woman, was taken to hospital for mandatory testing before being taking to Campbelltown Police Station.
The man was charged with dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm – drive in a dangerous manner.
He was refused bail to appear in Campbelltown Local Court today (February 3).

In a separate incident, a police investigation is under way following the death of a child near Campbelltown yesterday.
Emergency services were called to Railway Parade at Glenfield after reports a child was unresponsive.
NSW Ambulance paramedics attended; however, the three-year-old died at the scene.
Officers from Campbelltown City Police Area Command were told the child had been in a vehicle throughout the day.
The vehicle’s owner, a man known to the child, raised the alarm when he returned to the car.
A crime scene has been established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is under way.
The man has been taken to Campbelltown Police Station where he is assisting police with their inquiries.
