Woman, 36, dies in head on collision with semi trailer

A woman has died following a head on crash last night of a semi trailer and an SUV in Devonshire Road, Rossmore.

Police say the driver of the SUV, a 36-year-old woman, died at the scene.

The truck driver, a 66-year-old man, was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics for minor leg injuries before being taken to hospital for further assessment and mandatory testing.

A crime scene was established and investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash has commenced.

Localised traffic diversions were put in place and motorists are urged to avoid the area.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.

As inquiries continue anyone with information, CCTV, dashcam and/or mobile phone footage in relation to the incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Three teenagers have been charged over the armed robbery of a business in South West Sydney – twice in one night.

Police say that around 7.20pm and 11.40pm on January 21, two people armed with knives entered the premises of the business in Railway Serviceway, Liverpool, and took cash and a handbag, before leaving in a sedan.

The vehicle was located in Liverpool a few days later, with knives found during a search .

Two teenagers aged 16 and 17 were arrested nearby and taken to Liverpool Police Station.

A 17-year-old boy was arrested at Liverpool Police Station.

All three teenage boys were charged with two counts of robbery in company, with one of the 17-year-old boys being charged with an additional offence of possessing a prohibited drug.

All three were refused bail to appear before a children’s court today.
