Australian motorcycle racing legend Wayne Gardner will pop into South West Sydney later this month to share his journey from world champion to successful businessman.
Gardner will be the guest speaker at a special South West Networking Group combined meeting of four SWNG chapters on Wednesday, October 14 at Lily’s Cafe, Prestons.
The breakfast gathering is appropriately themed Driving Your Career Forward – and everyone’s welcomed.
Gardner became a household name in Australia after making history in 1987 as Australia’s first 500cc motorcycle world champion.
His achievements on the international racing circuit established him as one of Australia’s most recognised motorsport personalities.
However, his career beyond motorcycle racing has been equally interesting.
Following his sporting career, Gardner moved successfully into the business world, providing him with a wealth of experiences and lessons to share about achievement, change and creating new opportunities.
The breakfast will give local business owners and professionals the opportunity to hear some of those insights firsthand, while also meeting and networking with people from across South West Sydney’s business community.
SWNG operates four chapters, Narellan, Camden, Campbelltown and Liverpool, which meet weekly to help members build genuine business relationships, develop referral opportunities and support each other’s businesses.
The organisation is not-for-profit and is run by its members for its members.
While the October event is a combined meeting of all four chapters, visitors and non-members are encouraged to attend, making it an ideal opportunity for anyone interested in business networking to meet SWNG members and experience the group.
