We Are Campbelltown, a docuseries of short videos on the vibrant colours and aromas of multicultural food, daredevil mountain bike trails and our abundant, pristine bushland, has been released to the public.

The promotional campaign of 10 videos features the stories behind Campbelltown businesses and highlights local landmarks such as the stunning Dharawal National Park.

The series was filmed and produced by Brick Studios, a collective of local filmmakers.

Campbelltown Council commissioned the series following an identity and branding strategy in 2019 that identified a need for projects such as this, to provide an avenue for the community to tell its story, support each other and proudly proclaim “we are Campbelltown’’ to a wider audience.

The series will accompany a comprehensive marketing campaign that will promote the series to the local community as well as the Greater Sydney market.

“This series not only promotes some of the great businesses we have here in Campbelltown, but also tells the personal stories of the local people who have poured their heart and soul into their small business,” says mayor George Brticevic.

We Are Campbelltown exposes the hidden gems that make Campbelltown such a great place to live to a wider audience and attract more people to our city to experience our many cultures, cuisines and beautiful natural landscape,” he said.

“It will also show people who live here some of the fantastic places we have in our own backyard that they may not have been aware of, building local pride and encouraging local visitation.

“As with many parts of Australia, Covid-19 has a significant impact on our local businesses and this is just one of the ways we can support our local economy.”
