Campbelltown mayor Darcy Lound says local families will soon be able to enjoy a series of new and upgraded parks, with construction now under way at multiple locations across the city.

Four parks will be upgraded over the coming months, with a new park to be built at Regalia Crescent, Glenfield, where construction has now started.

“With more and more young families calling Campbelltown home, delivering modern playgrounds is a key focus for council,” Mayor Darcy Lound said.

“The new park at Regalia Crescent in Glenfield was greatly received by the community during consultation, and I’m sure they’re excited to see construction has now started,” Cr Lound said.

“I look forward to seeing the new playgrounds open in the coming months.

“And I’d like to thank everyone who provided feedback to help shape the design of these great projects,” he said.

Park upgrades being delivered include Midlothian Reserve, St Andrews, which will give the residents of that suburb local access to a regional level park for the first time.

Patrick Newman Reserve, Ambarvale, Flying Pieman Park, Eschol Park and Denfield Green, St Helens Park are the other parks included in the upgrades.
