Triple murder charge: woman, two children dead

A man has been charged with three counts of murder after the bodies of two children and a woman were found in a Campbelltown home.

Officers attached to Campbelltown City Police Area Command were called to Raymond Avenue at 7.50pm following a call from the home to Triple Zero (000).

Police entered the home and found the bodies of two boys, aged 12 and four, and a 46-year-old woman inside.

A 47-year-old man was arrested at the scene and was taken to Campbelltown Police Station.

Inquiries commenced by Campbelltown City PAC Detectives, assisted by State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad, and this morning the man was charged with three counts of murder (Domestic Violence).

He has been refused bail to appear in Campbelltown Local Court later today (Tuesday, May 19).

An elderly man has died after being hit by a car in Ruse.

About 6.50pm last night (Monday), emergency services responded to reports of a crash on Bellinger Road, Ruse.

Officers attached to Campbelltown City Police Area Command attended and were told a Toyota sedan had struck a pedestrian.

The pedestrian, a 70-year-old man, was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics; however, he died at the scene.

The driver of the car – a 30-year-old woman – was uninjured and has been taken to hospital for mandatory testing.

A crime scene has been established, and police have commenced an investigation into the circumstances of the crash.

As inquiries continue, police are urging anyone with information or dashcam footage to contact Campbelltown City Police Area Command or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
