
A third man has been charged as an investigation into the shooting death of a woman near Campbelltown continues.
Detectives attached to Campbelltown City Police Area Command launched Strike Force Apslawn to investigate the death of the 65-year-old woman after a public-place shooting at her home in Dickens Road, Ambarvale, about 11pm on April 14 this year.
Following extensive inquiries, two men aged 32 and 19 were charged and remain before the courts.
This morning a 34-year-old man was arrested at Parramatta Police Station and charged with murder.
He was refused bail to appear before Parramatta Local Court today.
As a part of an ongoing investigation, strike force detectives executed a search warrant at a home on Parsons Street, Ashcroft, about 4pm yesterday where they arrested a 40-year-old man.
Police seized 11.3kg of cannabis, $91,600 in cash, 31 mobile phone devices, a laptop computer and a knuckle duster.
The man was taken to Liverpool Police Station where he was charged with recklessly deal with proceeds of crime [more than $5000], recklessly deal with proceeds of crime less than or equal to $5000, supply a prohibited drug and having goods suspected of being stolen.
He was granted conditional bail to appear at Liverpool Local Court on August 13.
Inquiries under Strike Force Apslawn continue.
