Harrington Estates, the developer responsible for Harrington Grove, Harrington Park and Catherine Park Estate is launching a new housing precinct with a difference.

The Stables of Camden will incorporate shared equestrian facilities and expansive homesites that will allow residents to keep their horse close by.

Harrington Estates founding managing director Terry Goldacre said the inspiration for the new development came from the nearby Orielton historic homestead that has extensive stables and an arena.

“Our vision is to provide the benefits of rural living, where residents can live in a community with a shared passion for horses, while still being close to modern conveniences,’’ he says.

“We’ve been planning this area for some time and haven’t found anything else quite like it. There are plenty of places where you can buy acreage to keep horses, but not a whole community with shared equine facilities.’’

Residents living within The Stables will be granted exclusive access to its world-class equestrian facilities while enjoying their own acreage block on which they can build their dream home, with a paddock and private shelter for their equine companion included.

“There is a shortage of large high-quality home sites in the South Western Sydney region so we’re expecting a strong demand for the 25 lots when they go up for auction on Saturday, December 11,’’ Mr Goldacre said.

“The development, which is the last stage of Harrington Grove, overlooks the Camden Valley to the west and Orielton historic homestead to the north -which makes them even more special and unusual.

“The Stables development is bounded by Narellan Creek, the prestige suburb of Kirkham, The Northern Road and Orielton, so it will remain a quiet exclusive neighbourhood with modern conveniences nearby,” he said.

Every resident of The Stables will have exclusive access to the equestrian facilities, which will be located within proximity to homes.

Residents of The Stables will have access to a grand 25 bay horse stable with tack room and wash bays, as well as an arena, and 1.8 kilometres of bridle trail.

Unlike many locations suitable to keep horses, The Stables is close to modern conveniences.

Located just off The Northern Road, The Stables has lot sizes of up to 2.5 acres (1 hectare) available, with a total of 25 lots on offer.

The Stables marks the final precinct of the Harrington Grove development, a journey that started in 1994.

Harrington Park Estate is now home to more than 4,000 families.
