Teenager, 14, charged with stabbing in Oran Park

A 14 year old teenager will face court today charged over a stabbing in Oran Park last night.

Police say that about 8pm (Tuesday, July 23), emergency services were called to a carpark at Jack Brabham Reserve, Oran Park, following reports of an assault.

Officers attached to Camden Police Area Command located a 17-year-old boy with stab wounds to both hands.

He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition.

Following inquiries, police arrested a 14-year-old boy at Narellan Police Station just after midnight.

He was charged with wounding a person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

He was refused bail to appear before a children’s court today (Wednesday, July 24).

Police will allege the boys are known to each other.

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from south west Sydney.

Safa Maassarani, aged 60, was last seen at a hospital in Liverpool more than a week ago on July 15.

When he was unable to be located or contacted, police were notified on Monday (July 23) and officers from Liverpool Police Area Command commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

There are serious concerns for Safa’s welfare as he lives with a medical condition.

Safa is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle appearance, about 175cm tall, medium build with grey hair and beard.

He was last seen wearing a grey hoodie jumper, blue jeans and black shoes.

Anyone with information into Safa’s whereabouts is urged to call Liverpool Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
