Club Menangle says it is proud to announce the start of another Team Teal campaign.

The annual initiative raises funds for ovarian cancer research and awareness. Team Teal is a partnership between WomenCan, the Harness Racing industry in Australia and New Zealand and Tabcorp.

One of the highlights of the Team Teal campaign is female reinswomen participating in racing at Club Menangle from February 1 until March 15 raising awareness throughout the harness racing industry to its supporters and the general public.

Club Menangle, Australia’s premier harness racing venue located a short drive from the centre of Campbelltown, will again provide support to the Team Teal campaign in 2023.

It will donate to Team Teal $200 donation for each win by a female driving, as well as another $200 donation for each victorious female trainer- during the entire campaign period.

Funds raised from the Team Teal campaign will support the Australia New Zealand Gynaecological Oncology Group [ANZGOG] education and prevention program.

This ANZGOG program aims to bring ovarian cancer survivors into the classroom of medical students to share their lived experiences.

It also contributes to the patient referral network, which enables women to have access to cutting edge treatments regardless of where they live.

“We are very proud to be a long-standing supporter of this fantastic fundraising initiative,’’ says Bruce Christison, CEO of Club Menangle.

“We hope to see many wins in the Team Teal colours.’’
