
A former teacher has been charged over an alleged historical sexual assault in a school near Campbelltown.
He has been issued with a Court Attendance Notice for two counts of indecent sexual assault indecent of a person under 16 and a further two counts of carnal knowledge of a girl aged 16 and under 17.
The 79 year old man is due to appear before Campbelltown Local Court on Tuesday, November 11.
It will be alleged that between 1990 and 1992 he sexually assaulted a female student on multiple occasions on the school grounds at Varroville, and at a home in Ingleburn.
Officers attached to Campbelltown City Police Area Command commenced an investigation more than two years ago into historical reports of sexual assault of a student by a teacher at a school in Varroville.

A 30 year old man will face court today following a house fire in Narellan Vale.
About 12.50pm yesterday (Monday, September 22), emergency services were called to a house on Casuarina Place, Narellan Vale, following reports of a fire.
Officers attached to Camden Police Area Command attended and found a house well alight before Fire and Rescue NSW crews extinguished the blaze.
Two occupants were assessed by NSW Ambulance paramedics at the scene, with no injuries reported.
A crime scene was established and investigations commenced into the circumstances of the fire.
About 1pm yesterday a 30-year-old man was arrested and taken to Campbelltown Hospital before being taken to Narellan Police Station.
There he was charged with aggravated break and enter to commit a serious indictable offence, and four counts of damaging property.
He was refused bail to appear at Campbelltown Local Court today (Tuesday, September 23).
